Cocktail Club: The Berry Good Mojito
It’s Saturday and you know what that means….COCKTAIL CLUB! This week it is another super duper easy cocktail that you can show off to your friends. It’s the Berry Good Mojito, my twist on the good old fashioned mojito.
All you’ll need for this cocktail is:
- A bottle of soda water
- A bottle of white rum
- A few strawberries
- A few mint leaves
- Crushed ice
Step 1: roughly chop up your strawberries and chuck them in a shaker (or glass) along with the mint, don’t worry about shredding the mint, leave it as it is. Muddle these together in the bottom making sure all of the strawberry juice mixes with the mint. You can use a cocktail muddler for this, or the end of a wooden rolling pin is good, too!
Step 2: Chuck in a shot of the white rum and continue muddling together, make sure you infuse the rum with the mint and strawberry. Pour this all into the bottom of your glass and cover with crushed ice. Using a spoon, give it all a quick mix.
Step 3: Drop in your soda water, don’t use too much as it will water it down but use enough to make it a good drink! Garnish with a sprig of mint and enjoy!
Let me know what you think…personally I think it’s berry good (sorry, I honestly hate myself for that…) - give it a go tonight and drop a drunken comment below with your thoughts!
